Equine Affaire 2014

Coves Darden horses represented the P.R.E. for the U.S.P.R.E. association’s breed demo at Equine Affaire this April 2014. (Scroll down to watch video clip)

There are two grey horses in the video. The horse with more advanced training is Tronc II ridden by Stacey Hastings. Tronc was champion yearling, two and three year old  in conformation shows in Spain and in the US. At four years of age in the foot steps of his Sire Goloso XLIV, he earned the title “Qualified Stallion” from the TRC tribunal of LG ANCCE. With in the same year he began his career as a dressage horse under Gold Medalist trainer/ rider -Stacey Hastings who is doing a fantastic job bringing him up the levels. His first babies were born in 2013. We are very pleased with the results.

Goloso XLIV: Bay Qualified Stallion. Producer of some of the best P.R.E. athletes in the country. Sire of Tronc II and the young black colt in hand on the video. He loves to do the Levade!

Guateque IV is the second grey stallion in the video. Shown here as a four year old. In the spring of 2013, at three years old he was started under saddle. Three months later he competed at his first recognized dressage show earning an impressive 75% score at Training level. He is notably intelligent and level headed and possesses fluid elastic movements in all three gaits. He started his career as breeding stallion in 2014 breeding season. We are very much looking forward to his first offspring in 2015.

Oleaje: the black colt shown in hand is three years old out of a Coves Darden mare, Sired by Goloso XLIV.  He was started under saddle this spring and is now working free from the lounge line at home. Blessed with a fantastic work ethic  he may very well debut at training level towards the end of the 2014 show season. A very promising young colt

We are so very proud of how well our horses performed after 16 hours on the trailer and so much going on at  Equine Affaire. We are proud of our team. None of it is possible with out the hard work of everyday. Thank you!  We hope you enjoy this short clip
