Police qualified for the 2017 Markel / USEF Developing Horse National Championships in the Grand Prix Division . Here he competed against the top 15 horses at the Intermediary II and Grand Prix level, all between the ages of 9 and 11 years.
Entering the Championships, Police was ranked number 9 in the country. He gained traction the first day in the Intermediary II test, climbing to number 6, before slipping back a place the following day in the Developing Grand Prix test. It was an all too exciting several days.
Police and Stacey Hastings, have come far together with the backing of Coves-Darden over the years.
Police finished number 7 in the nation. Just out of the ribbons but never the less 2 place rankings higher than where we started.

Police was bred by Coves Darden P.R.E. He was born in November 2007 on our farm in Spain. His first crop of foals are now under saddle and many are starting their dressage careers with their new owners.
